    After the first application did not work as desired, the seller sent me a second sample of the beneficial insects for free. This time, I used deionised water instead of rainwater, and it worked. As I still saw two fungus gnats flying around, I bought the bacteria again, along with Beauveria Bassiana. This combination is very effective, and my baby bonsais are finally safe.

    Quick delivery, BTI works and numbers are greatly reduced, but if you have a lot of plants it's hard to get rid of the gnats completely, even oner an extened period. Have now resorted to binning over half of the plants, potting some just in water and removing top soil, using BTI and covering with sand/lava for the very big ones.
