    Fab book for curvy sewers

    This lady makes fabulous patterns for curvy sewists at her Cashmerette website and there are 5 new ones with this book. Bodice fronts come in three different sets of cup sizes so the adjustments we normally have to make ( apart from the few personal to yourself like shortening bodice length if needed ) are done, there’s even a slight forward shoulder adjustment which is a big help, it’s far easier to quickly get to sewing something instead of endlessly fiddling, though I’ll always still muslin before finally cutting good fabric. Brilliant book, patters are in a neat envelope attached to the back of the book. Thoroughly recommend.

    Good for the patterns. Alteration instructions difficult to understand.

    There are patterns in the back for curvy figures which is great. But found the instructions hard to understand, even with two of us reading it for a couple of hours we still didn’t understand what to do.(FBA) I had to refer to another book. The before & after pics are also a little ambiguous as the people are in different stances so of course the garment will look different . Will probably only refer to it again when making one of their patterns. Best aimed at a confident sewer to be understood, not a beginner.
