Brilliantly different autobiography
This is a terrific book, fascinating to read and very moving. The style is very simple and honest, and unlike anything I have read before. A delight to read
This book is, as it says, a memoir. It has a slowly unraveling autobiographic thread, which makes it all the more poignant, but even without the knowledge that it is a real story it stands alone as a wonderful, sensual exploration of the world- my world, as I grew up during the same period and recognise every element from my own childhood experience.
