    timely subject matter

    This story is very compelling as I still think about the right or wrong of the death penalty. Although there are many story lines, they are easy to follow and the premise makes sense. I dislike a book where there have to be "miracles" to make things come together and make the story work. This book delivers a believable story and keeps you interested until the last word.

    Fabulous and incredibly suspenseful!

    First time reading this series of Amos Decker! Couldn't put it down but didn't want to finish as it's one of those books. Can't wait to read all 5. Had read of David Baldacci's books years ago so am loving these. Nothing better than a hardcover book and the excitement of turning each page!

    You wish it was a "10 mile " story

    Riveting story from the first page. If you enjoyed the movies Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, ets., you will the drawn in immediately. The story takes so many right and left turns that you will be hanging on for dear life. I loved the book and hope there will be many more Amos Decked books written .
