    6TB External hard Drive

    Just added this WD unit to our storage on the office front. Small and easily set up on a drag and drop basis. Ideal for keeping those larger files stored safely on your WD rather than on your main computor.

    Great value if a few odd quirks.

    At 6TB this smallish unit is very quiet and excellent value. It's in use as a backup unit for a Synology NAS which contains 2 x 3TB HDDs. Being USB3 it's relatively fast (but not the fastest). There's a switch on the back which you click to turn on but clicking it gain doesn't turn the unit off - it needs to be ejected from the (Windows) PC and then simply unplugged. Which is a bit odd - and it doesn't come with instructions of any sort. Reliability is still to be seen but, for the moment at least, would I buy it again? Yes.

    WD Elements external HDD 6TB

    It is a Western Digital Drive , that means it is reliable . I have been building P.C's for 20+ years and never had WD fail . The Price was very good for a 6TB and it is the same size as my WD MyCloud 4TB so have them connected to each other , giving me 10TB of my cloud storage . It is USB 3 so great for storing 4k movies . I look forward to many years of storage at an affordable price

    A good value quiet external hard drive

    At less than £18 per TB of storage space this is certainly a good value storage solution. This external drive is acceptably fast transferring data from an internal drive as fast as between 2 internal drives. Meets my needs perfectly.
