    Very Handy Portable Hard Drive

    I have 2 of these portable Western Digital 1tb Hard Drives. These drives are well built and great value for the money. Very quiet and so far very reliable. Small enough to comfortably fit in a pocket. the only gripe I have is that the lead could have been a bit longer but that's just a minor issue. Would I recommend them to my friends ??? Yes I would 110%.

    WD 1TB HDD. Very pleased to have purchsed it at a really good price. *****

    I'm using this as a PVR on my Samsung TV. It is working beautifully......... Note: My Samsung TV uses an XFS file system that encrypts/codes the recording so that it can only be played back on the one unique Samsung TV. The only drawback is that if the file corrupts ( e.g. due to a power cut ), then the TV refuses to read the HDD and demands reformatting hence loss of the saved recordings. (You can still see the files via a Linux Ubuntu PC, but I don't know how to restore the XFS system. ***** A TV problem : - not a HDD problem *****. This drive excels. Very satisfied.
