    Office 2003 Pro incorporates word processing, spreadsheet, email, presentation, and database software in one convenient and integrated package. It set the standard when released, and has aged extremely well. Today it is still very popular, and provides excellent functionality for those users looking for high-grade office software at a discount price. Newer is not always better for every user. Sometimes, an old Pro is as good as it gets.

    Trouble Installing On Windows 10

    Although I love Office 2003 best of all versions this version does not install easily on Windows 10. There's an expected database error: "Error 1919: Error configuring ODBC data source: Visual FoxPro Database. ODBC error 0: Verify that the file Visual FoxPro Database exists and that you can access it."... which is not really solved satisfactorily. I've left Office 2016 on the computer in case I have problems with incompatibility with Office 2003.

    Office Professional 2003 - Upgrade

    Great software. I purchased without noticing the UPGRADE sticker. This will only upgrade an existing office product, not an initial install. It is still possible to fully activate this legacy software, although automatic methods no longer work. An 800 number plus using a Non-Smart Phone registration will generate code keys and activate, also allowing reinstall later. Make sure to write down all the numbers before advancing through the activation process. There is a BACK button later, but it's greyed out. I was not able to get the numbers to display again.

    Praise for Office Pro 2003

    I have purchased several of these legit copies of Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003. It is loaded on each of my computers. Now that I am retired, and no longer have to deal with the hassles of the increasingly user hostile editions of MS Office at my old employer, I have settled on this one. It works fine under Windows XP, and also under Windows 7. I have noticed that when run on the 64 bit machines, I have to accept the EULA each time I launch one of these applications. But, they all work well, and do what I need to get done. It doesn't get much better than that!

    Old product - New Laptop - It works fine

    Bought it hoping hat software made in 2003 would install and run on a 2021 built laptop with Windows 10. Installed like a breeze and runs fine. I am unable to compare it to the Cloud based Office stuff as I have never used them. This is a great Office program for off-line computing and storage.
