    I prob wouldn’t buy one of these tensioners

    Failed within 2 weeks. Questioning wether this is even a Honda part or not. Had to replace it as it threw my cars timing into such a state that it was in vsa mode.

    Works great so far.

    I just installed it over a week ago and I’m impressed with so far. Old tensioner was making a lot of noise but now with the new one installed it’s nice and quiet. The Honda dealership want 10x the amount that I paid for this one. That’s a no brainer decision in my book. So crossing my fingers it lasts until my next timing belt change. Would recommend to anyone on a tight budget.

    No more noise!

    No YouTube video for the DIYer for my 2006 Pilot. However, there is an Odyssey video that greatly helps. Same engine set up. Take 1 plastic timing belt cover off and loosen the other. Plenty of room to pull the pin. My “ticking” diesel noise stopped! Now I need to replace serpentine belt tensioner. 171,000 miles and going strong.

    So far so good

    I recently replace the timing belt tensioner on my 2006 Odyssey, the previous tensioner was not holding the pressure and resulted in a knock sound coming from the oil pump part of the engine where the tensioner is located , it might be too premature for me to write a accurate review but I'll update later, so far so good ..
