    Nothing short of fantastic, from start to finish.

    I first saw this movie at my local theater, when it came out in 1973. I loved it because two of the actors, who were in "Dirty Harry" two years earlier (John Vernon and Andy Robinson) were also in this film. Walter Matthau and Joe Don Baker were fantastic. Even after all these years, it still holds up.

    Charley Varrick a Classic Matthau movie

    Charley Varrick, the last of the independents was a fun journey of a movie. Dated. Lassic well worth watching. Knew cery little almost nothing of its details but glad we got it and wstched it. Loaned it to friends as they are Walter Matthau fans and they really liked it to.

    This is a great Walter Matthau movie, well written and played. The plot is very original considering it only starts as a small town bank robbery. I don't know why it did not get better reviews..

    Long time coming

    Glad I finally have this movie in my hands. Enjoyed the movie in the 70's as a young man. It's a change of pace for Mathau from comic to dramatic role. Just love the movie.

    Clever Caper

    One of the best crime/ cat & mouse films. It holds up very well for its' age. The cast is excellent; not a weak link in it. It is beautifully paced and edited. It is , of course, what I would expect from Don Siegel, one of U.S.' best genre filmmakers. The icing on the cake: an excellent packaged copy in very good condition.
