    What I think about the long awaited 42009 mobile crane.

    I waited 2 years for this, and finally jumped on buying it. I was not about to lose a chance at owning one after passing on the 8421 and regret never being able to find it reasonably price since... So what I think... The 42009 is high quality, complex, and amazes me just how intelligent Lego engineers really are with each build I have done. Worth every penny. I also bought the crawler crane. Both are great! My only complaint? Crane pivots on base by hand. Not mechanically with on-board electric motor. But does that really matter? No. Still a great work of art and function! Thanks again Lego for a 40 year relationship! What great set will I be buying next?

    First time large kit builder.

    If you are a Lego builder that frequents the kits that are half and quarter the price of these kits and have wondered....Once you build this caliber kit, you will understand. Everything that goes on under the frame of this kit is a machine. It's not just a crane that looks like one. Everything works. Get one and enjoy.

    Best mobile crane ever made by Lego

    Well I'm really impressed by this mobile crane. Just would of been nicer if the boom could of extended a bit longer, cause its length is quite a bit shorter fully extended compared to the rough terrain crane. Also the pivot joints that are used to operate the boom extension can break under stress when the motor clutch kicks in. Ive already had to order a new pivot joint. But I do like its length, durability, playability and love how the stabilizers extend and drop. Very cool. All the other model mobile cranes Lego has made are a complete joke compared this model. None other compares. If you're a technic collector, this a great one to add to your collection.
