Family Vakues as it shoukd be today
It was always entertaining when it aired and is still entertaining. It gives a comical look at family life at the time is was on TV, much of which was fact based. I doubt some young people today would enjoy it since they are often to,d how bad it is. Those who enjoy life will get a lot joy from watching a family as they face the problem faced daily, even today, as they go s out their lives. Roseanne Is Still Relevant
There is tremendous work in this series, in terms of acting, scriptwriting, and directing. It was groundbreaking at the time, dealing authentically with difficult issues, and still doing so with hilarious episodes. I think the acting talents of John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Johnny Galecki, and of course Roseanne, cannot be surpassed. Plays well, A good alternative to modern TV.
I bought this for my wife so that she could watch all of the old series (since there is nothing interesting nor fun to watch anymore on cable and TV). Love!
Absolutely wonderful! This was one of my favorite shows as a child when it was airing on cable. When i found out they were making a reboot of the original show, I had to purchase the entire series so I could go back and rehash my childhood and remember this amazing, wonderful comedy! It really hits home and touches on so many real life issues but also adds a twist of unconventional humor. I absolutely love this show and recieved it in perfect condition. It has and will always be an outlet for teaching common sense, and values. The best are holiday exposides when its more relaxed and they just get to have fun. But the Connor Family will remain a steadfast, icon or american 80-90's society for lower to middle class families. I love this set. I watch it every day. I am on season 5. I really do love getting complete set. The sound and picture is great.
