Based on the 2004 arcade game from Raw Thrills, the company started by acclaimed designer Eugene Jarvis, Target: Terror on Wii has players shooting down terrorists on the Golden Gate Bridge, inside a Los Alamos nuclear power plant, and throughout the Denver International Airport. The game's ten stages feature an assortment of enemies to shoot down and innocent victims to protect. Using the Wii Remote or Wii Zapper peripheral, players must eliminate a specific number of terrorists before advancing to the next stage. Weapon power-ups include a flamethrower, shock gun, freeze gun, and smart bomb. Target: Terror also features an assortment of mini-games to unlock during the main campaign.

    Better than most reviews claim!

    A much maligned on rails shooter that if you persist past initial impressions will reward you with an engaging and challenging experience. There are mini games to unlock which add to it's longevity and the 'cheesiness' of the game makes it more endearing. You obviously need an NTSC Wii to play it or a Pal Wii that is not higher than firmware V3.2 so that the Wii freeloader will work. It's hard, it is an arcade port after all and so you die a lot but it is fun. So if you can get it at a decent price and have the necessary means to play it go for it!

    Case and cover damaged, the disc scratched but runs. Needed some buffing to be able to play up to level selection. Some more buffing needed to be able to fully play the game. If nothing works, I'll keep it for history sake.

    An endless amount of fun.

    I used to pump every quarter I had into a Target Terror machine at my local arcade. Ever since I found out that this was also released for the Nintendo Wii, I've managed to snag a copy & am enjoying it every bit. It's a fantastic lightgun game that looked & performed well in its time. In my opinion, it still holds up to this day. Raw Thrills certainly knew what they were doing.
