This book only gives direction to write one upper and lower case of each letter, with space on the side for the child to write by themself. The abc pages are nothing like the cover which would have been much better, there is only perhaps one or two words over a double page spread, which is too small for a child as a beginner to write over. (As the books are only 3 double spread pages long) I would say this is more suitable as a recap book, once the child has learnt all the letters and have practiced learning how to write elsewhere The number writing book is much better though. There are multiple dotted numbers to trace over and space for the child to try themselves and with little activities all over the page. This one is a lot more engaging and fun to work through Two stars for the fact that you can write over it and rub it off and for the numbers book having the small activities. Read full review

Doesn't come with a pen. We tried loads and none would work! Apart from a permanent marker! That of course would not wipe off!
