This is our third one of this model. Works well, but your cat needs to be able to defend against intruder cats. If your cat's reasonably bright and you're wanting to stop it bringing in live prey, set it to Out Only - then your cat will learn to open it by banging it till it bounces open, get its nose or paw under and lift it to get in. But it won't be able to do that whilst holding prey! Worked nicely for us.
