TEMCo bills this switch as "Heavy Duty" and it is. The actual switch is well protected inside a strong cast aluminum enclosure. The pedal works well under an American size 14-9E shoe and the mechanism appears to be strong enough to last for years, although only time will tell. The application is a 1 HP belt-driven buffer for shop use, and this switch was chosen because it embodies the same "stronger than it maybe needs to be" design philosophy as the rest of the machine. Very satisfied with this purchase.

well built ,great price.. every w/w machine should have one for safe operation,,...it is easier to kick this switch with your shoe toe than to fumble around to find regular stop button supplied with most stationary w/w shop tools ;;all you need do is break the stop circuit..

it turns things on and off as described. it is of appropriate quality made primarily with metal parts. The electrics inside are of appropriate quality. I have used it for a month now and it has not failed. Furthermore, I do not expect it to; as it is of appropriate quality. The foot switch arrived a day early. Is built very sturdy and has a normally open/normally closed set of contacts with a shared common. There’s also a gasket between the cover plate and main body.
