The item was advertised new, but the inner plastic bag was twist tied, which doesn’t look new. As long as all the pieces are there, that doesn’t matter. This is a gift for an elderly parent, so we won’t know about completion for a little bit! The seller was good to work with. Thank you.

I receive so many books just tossed in box/bag and then all the tossing around during shipping bends, folds and damages the books, but the tight packing on this was awesome.
