Basic Small Pond Box
This is the basic model without the UV lamp and the pond is about 1700 Litres. Well made unit with good quality filter material. It's worked hard on a very dirty pond and initially filters needed cleaning every couple of days. With a bit of help from some Tetra CrystalClear I can now see the bottom of the pond and at last my fish. The unit will overflow when the filters become full so I kept it over the pond to avoid emptying the pond into the garden initially but the float indicator gives you an adequate warning. Great value. Good value but lightweight and has tilted over and the fountain sprayed out of the pond so had to turn off the fountain feature otherwise happy with it.

Great Filter....Easy Maintenance
All works well .Easy cleaned. Stable as long as the instructions are followed and mounted on solid flat base. Only issue is instructions state to mount away from the edge of the pond so had to purchase 1m of 50m pipe and hose clip to allow output water to go back in the pond. If buying the whole kit (pump etc) perhaps this should be part of supplied kit or at least advised as a required accessory Instruction booklet a little vague in certain areas. Good quality filter. But needs to be level.
I was going to build my own filter then I saw this premade filter and decided that it would be cheaper and better then a home made filter. I am very pleased with the filter box and all the media that it comes with. The only issue I found is that the output of the filter is not a standard size for waste pipe back to the pond. (Glue gun to the rescue) I would recommend that you use a spirt level to check the level of the surface you are going to site the filter on as if not the box leaks from the sides. Box is very affective at removing solids from pond water and easy to empty due to the drain plug at the bottom of the box. ( I fitted a 1.5" valve for quick servicing) I was going to build my own filter then I saw this premade filter and decided that it would be cheaper and better then a home made filter.
