      Stay Away! Poor Quality.... Waste of money, time, aggravation.

      The sewing machine we have, foot pedal finally wore out after 30 years. Needed replacement and this foot control could have worked. But it is AWFUL! 1. Worst thing about this switch it is NON-Linear in speed control... meaning as you increase pressure on the pedal the speed should increase in a uniform linear way so when you apply more pressure to the pedal the speed increases gradually just like an accelerator on your car. BUT NOOOOO! This pedal is either off or full speed! Totally useless. Even if you hold the pedal in your hand you have a couple of spots that the speed isn't at 100% but so sensitive you cannot hold it to maintain speed... plus its a foot pedal... not for hand use. 2. Metal is flimsy! The pedal part is so thin it deflects with just hand pressure! 3. ...

      Functional but not quality

      The housing and metal parts are fine if not good. The electronics are questionable. It's set up to be able to adjust the rheostat, but the range of adjustment built in is insufficient, so you actually have to bend the metal parts with pliers to get it adjusted well. You also have to be careful when you screw it in because you can break the ceramic piece if you're not careful. Overall, functional but I am a little concerned about durability. Glad I was able to adjust it without breaking and hopefully I never have to adjust it again.
