These pairs of gas strut springs for kitchen cupboard doors are an ideal fitment for overhead cupboards that are difficult to open. The gas struts can also be used on toy boxes and chests to keep them open and prevent trapped fingers. The gas strut springs are recommended for cupboards with a door weight/Nm force of between 4.1kg and 6.2kg. The springs extend to 247mm when open, and have a length of 155mm closed.

Simply and Idiot proof.
I realised I got the wrong length struts compared to the existing ones. I then also freaked out as trying to compress a gas strut by hand makes them seem impossible to operate. For a novice, I initially thought it would never work! The pressure ratio is actually Perfect. Magically (yes I know its actually science but I failed that) the struts collapse with ease and extend and hold the door weight with ease. Using one strut per door (about 3.5kgs door weight). They work well, are easy and seem good quality. Slightly difficult to get the strut to click onto the bracket, but if it were easy, it would come off easy so there's a reason for that. Not strong enough or long enough
Undoubtedly a high quality product and good value for what they are. For me, they were not strong enough. I bought two to help open and support an outside wooden chest lid and the lid was obviously too heavy, even with 2 x 150N. If they had been strong enough, the opening angle was a bit short. It allowed approx 90 degrees and I ideally needed about 120. Without purchasing and trying them, it was impossible to know if they would be suitable. Unfortunately for me they were not but I was impressed with the quality of them for such a low price.Undoubtedly a high quality product and good value for what they are.
