      The DVD itself was in very good condition and played flawlessly. I was a little disappointed with the presentation. I had read about Irena Sendler, and the story of how she smuggled children out of the ghetto in baggage cases and on her wagon; how she kept a dog at the back of her wagon, that was trained to bark when the children started fussing, to cover any noise. It sounded so fascinating; I was hoping to see how all this was done. Instead, it's a fairly swift summary of the underground network, with a few scenarios depicted in a few sentences. Quick changes of scenery and buildings, leave one a little lost as to where we are in time and place. There isn't time to reflect. I did appreciate a few details that I hadn't heard before, and of course Irena herself was delightful in the ...
