About this product

Product Information

Inch-long Minis zip across real-world environments in this budget racing game for Wii. An assortment of licensed Minis are available to motor across rulers, desks, notebook paper, and other household items. Hazards include paperclips, pencils, coffee mugs, and more. The action is viewed from an overhead perspective in three game modes: Championship, Single Race, and Time Trial. Unlike most racing titles designed for Wii, Mini Desktop Racing has you pointing the Wii Remote toward the screen instead of holding it horizontally; steering involves rotating your wrist left and right. Two-player support is also included for simultaneous competition against a friend.

Worst Wii game I've ever encountered!!

This game has the worst controls of any game on the Wii Don't waste your time or money on this one.Impossible to control the car.The steering is not like all the other car games. You don't use a Wii wheel. You have to steer it by twisting your wrist. I got it for less than $4.00 shipped, and that was too much for this turd.Save your money for something else. The other review is right. An empty Wii case is all this one is good for!

  • hot wheels microracers ripp off

I grew up playing hot wheels micro-racers on windows 98, then I saw this in the store and immediately recognized the tracks shown on the back cover and though it was a port. This is not a port but a stripped down, and re-branded version of a classic game. The tracks are nearly identical but without Hot Wheels logos, the Hot Wheel cars are replaced with mini coopers. Sadly they got rid of all the short cuts and hidden bonuses from the original game in this Wii edition. I was determined to like this game anyway, but the controls are poorly implemented, and overly sensitive to where I found the cars nearly undrivable, especially if you fall off the rail and need to attempt to reverse or u-turn, it becomes nearly impossible. If your interested in this game I suggest you ignore it and buy the ...

  • Coordination needed!

This is certainly a unique idea for a game, racing on a desk with erasers, mugs, pencils and notebooks forming the path and paperclips as guidelines. In this game you use the remote pointed at the screen and rotate your wrist to turn, however, the remote for the wii is sooo sensitive that if you get cracked up while you play, you are likely to fling your car off the track and onto the floor. I am still learning and have not gotten to see my 9 year old try to play yet. Maybe he will do better than me..... I like the idea behind the game and I hope it is one my son will have fun with. I have trouble with some of the turns and it seems like maybe it isn't me, but that a person's wrist will not turn far enough to make such sharp turns.

  • Not friendly

The controls aren´t natural, the animation is lame. It works but there are other products far nicer than this. The cars are very difficult to drive, it doesn´t take advantage of the nunchuck. It is almost like an atari 80´s game. I don´t recommend you buy it. It isn´t worth it.
