    Seems good so far

    My new laptop charger arrived today & so far it seems good. Was brand new, still in packaging. I think it’s an apple original product. Seems to charge my laptop ok. No problems yet.

    It works

    As with all Apple products it is expensive but generally good quality - in this case however it has a particular weakness hence my need to purchase a new unit. The cable tends to flex immediately adjacent to the magnetic connector and eventually disintegrates - be very careful when connecting/disconnecting. Simply visit the Apple website to see the number of complaints. Whilst the principle of immediate disconnection is laudable and does work this variation is not as robust as those fitted to older MacBooks and I have a couple that still function with my still working 10 year old + "white MacBook", As with most Apple products these older units do not fit the newer machines.

    Inexpensive and works as it should

    This product charges my laptop and is long enough. Could do with some reinforcing around the plug as the cable is always why these things end up breaking eventually but it's no different to other types of charger.

    WILL BREAK BUT DECENT REPLACEMENT

    When I charged it up the box gets VERY hot, and after a while I couldn’t even touch it! So after a few minutes I need to take it out to cool it down. The transformer box is a lot lighter than my original Apple MacBook charger too, so you can tell the difference. After 6 months of using it, it stopped working, so had to buy the official Apple one, which I probably should have done in the first place as I’m hoping this will last longer.

    Perfect replacement for the original

    After my original power cord became frayed and stopped working, I looked to Apple for a replacement. Amazed at the high price, I went looking for a cheaper option and found this. It works perfectly, charges my macbook pro quickly, and is every bit as good as those Apple are charging £70 for! A recommended product from a reliable seller.
