These hoods with a mask fit more loosely than the traditional balaclava helmets but I like that. They had a little odor when I first took them out of their bags but I let them air out overnight and that has solved issue. It took me a minute to figure out how the drawstrings worked but once I did I realized what a clever system it is! Although it is loose around the neck, a scarf will solve that too! It arrived just in time for some frigid weather. Yay!
