Go for it.
Became increasingly aware of how noisy my existing 2 stroke brush cutter was and how temperamental it is plus its weight made it very difficult for my wife to use so we started looking at cordless ones. De Walt is a well known make and I also had their power tools so batteries would be interchangeable. When we started using it we knew we had made the right decision both kn going cordless and DeWalt. Really light by comparison and the 5ah battery is strong enough to keep going until I'm worn out rather than it. The usual Dewalt quality, and once you are set up on that battery system it makes sense to stick with it. This is so much easier and lighter than the old two stroke strimmer and not the issues of trying to start it as this is on the button. This came with a 5ah battery but we already had a couple of 4ah batteries and the newer 3ah cell batteries so this does the job brilliantly and the line doesn’t break as easily as other brands strimmer line does. Well worth the money. The usual Dewalt quality, and once you are set up on that battery system it makes sense to stick with it. Great battery alternative
I hd always your petrol powered strimmers, I was worried that the motor would not deal with it well but even in low setting it was great. Battery also lasts well getting 3 sessions out of one charge.

Dewalt Battery Strimmer
Bigger than I thought it would be but manageable and feels pretty robust. The instructions are rubbish but that is pretty much the same for most products these days. It could do with a shoulder strap but easily fixed, I used a new unused Dewalt toolbag shoulder strap. Overall pretty pleased with my purchase.

Large and heavy
Not good for back sufferer's I've tried sliding the handle down the shaft to balance the strimmer but then it's awkward and uncomfortable to use, however it rips through stuff great and just like other strimmers I've used the line keeps breaking.
