Praise for Metcalfe
A superb model of a fairly typical village school - does just as well on my railway layout set in Devon as its original location in Yorkshire! All Metcalfe products are excellent value for money and of first-rate quality. As with all such kits, care and attention is required in their building and they can never be rushed, but the quality is excellent and the finished model typically is strong and far heavier than might be thought. I "customise" all of the shops but this was one of the few models that I built "straight". A Metcalfe tarmac sheet underneath the model makes a really good playground area, so typical of the older schools that rarely had grass. My |Junior school certainly didn't! I would thoroughly recommend Metcalfe products to any serious modeller.
