Great story, full of characters and entertainment...
Once in a Lifetime is a wonderfully entertaining story of the New York Cosmos. From their humble begginnings to their sad demise, this DVD has interviews and opinions from the personalities involved with The Cosmos. A great story incorporating the romance and glamore of football within the short but golden era of "soccer" in the USA. The DVD contains interviews with the personalities and characters involved with The Cosmos which is entertainment in itself. Despite the absence of a personal account from the great man himself, Pele, I feel this actually contributes to the entertainment of this DVD. Explained is the background to the NASL as it was, through to its current structure today. Recommended to anyone who enjoys a good story that incorporates the romance and characters within ... There Should Be More Sports Documentaries Like This
There are not enough sport documentaries about these days, particularly none as good as this one. A brilliant insight into the world of the NASL and New York Cosmos, explaining why the now defunct NASL league was significant in football (soccer!) history. A great watch for those that remember the NASL of the late 70s and early 80s and those that dont.

Grear film, for a great price
This is a quality documentary and it's a classic tale in the history of football, and the new york cosmos started the soccer boom in 1970's and sadly faded away in the mid eighties, but has been brought to live in 2010 with Pele fronting a new board. This is a quality film and it deserves a place in anyones DVD collection.

this film is for anyone who loves football (soccer) and or New York, entertaining and informative all at once. there is nothing to compare this film too, its just unique!!!
