      small neat and stylish

      small neat does everything I need. easy to use and to set up. Like the fact it has 5 print cartridges makes colour so much better. Had trouble connecting it via wifi to computer but problem resolved when I got an upgraded router from my service provider. Would recommend this model to others.

      Why so expensive in cartridges?

      To me it’s just a replacement for the XP620 that has failed with a print bed “end of life” fault, being a very similar machine and presumably the updated version that does the same, ie double sided prints and using five cartridges. The shock came when I ordered a set of ‘pattern’ cartridges from my print shop, the set cost three times as much, that is £42 instead of the old XP620 set at about £12-15. Why on Earth does the so called ‘improved’ model cost three times as much to run, when it does exactly the same job? OK it works fine, but I’m disappointed with running cost.

      Brilliant little printer

      Installation was relatively easy with the printer giving step by step guidance, print quality is excellent both for text and phots being produced to a good standard. only one slight drawback is that the photo paper tray does not take A4 size so the paper tray needs to be used for A4 photo paper but in general a great little printer.

      Compact XP*6100

      Overall pleased with my new printer LIKE * Nice and compact * CD/DVD tray stored integral * Can now print from my phone DISLIKE * Software poor, MyEpson Portal software rubbish * Print CD still warns of Internal Dia less than 40mm. Really after all these years * When you print a CD have to confirm print on the printer. Why?

      Prints well but slow and expensive to run.

      This printer produces good prints so there is no problem here. However, it is painfully slow. When printing, it is quite fast. However, it takes a lot of time between instructing it to print and something happening - well over a ninute is normal. Finally, the ink cartridges are extremely expensive.
