Bound in the publisher's red cloth with elaborate peacock and elephant design in gilt on the top board, titles and decorations to spine and top board in gilt, in original dust jacket. Good condition, with mottling to boards, though the gilt is still bright, and to the pastedown endpapers. The rest of the book is unaffected. There are a very few light marks to pages, but the text block is mainly clean and bright and the illustrations and their tissue guards are all present and in very good condition. With 20 full-colour tipped in plates by Edmund Dulac, complete with their tissue guards. Ocasional creasing to tissue guards.In the original dust jacket which is in good repaired condition, repairs to the spine, marks, and a small chip from the laid-on illustration (see photos). 28.5cm, 11.25inches, tall, unpaginated, complete.”
