  • Did I Expect Too Much ???

    I have tried this product on 4 different jobs with no success. The last job I thought they really should have worked on.. I had a 6ft high gate that I had to alter by removing 2 vertical slats. Each slat was screwed into 3 cross beams with 2 x 50mm countersunk wood screws. They were quite narrow about 6 gauge. Or 3mm in diameter. They had Philips heads and were red with rust, they had been in the gate for many years and I new they would not come out using a normal screwdriver. The first thing I did was strike each screw hard in an effort to break the seal between the wood and the screw. Using the correct size of screwdriver bit I applied increasing pressure to try and remove the screws, but as expected the screwdriver eventually jumped out of screw head damaging the Philips head.     These are very well made and suitable for a wide range of size bolts etc. Each one has a drill bit at the front which merges into a coarse screw-thread: both operate anti-clockwise to extract the bolts or stud. Best used in a high torque drill at very low speeds. Made of high quality steel and presented in a neat case. Recommended.
