Good, but needs some work on the design.
I bought my dad this for his birthday after a family friend brought their one over to use on our fire. He loved it, so I got him one for his birthday. Product works well, the only problem we have found is when you try and lift the lid with a hook, the top is heavier than the bottom so you can't lift it without spilling the food everywhere. Luckily my dad is a blacksmith, so he will be able to fix it so the problem no longer occurs.I bought my dad this for his birthday after a family friend brought their one over to use on our fire. How Good ?
It works well but takes longer to cook, for me most of day, and turn potatoes once in that period. maybe my stove runs cooler than some as it’s just a little 5kw multifuel stove, i used salt first time too..BIG error !! ! it makes the iron rust so salt after they come out .... anyway i got away with it by using oil and ‘proving’ it . that means oiling and then burning it to a crisp when it’s empty. To clean just wipe with oiled sheet kitchen roll paper, Best thing is that it saves having a huge oven to run to bake two jacket potatoes so it’s green and energy saving. Yes it’s a good invention which i will keep on using from now on , grandchildren love it too !! It’s like bringing the potato in the bonfire indoors and it’s quirky.. It’s really worth oiling and baking it empty first time ... Bought this for my father, he loves it. In go the potatoes, onto the fire, off he goes shopping, comes back to a hot meal. He thinks it's the bestest present ever, it is being used several times a week, If you want a quick meal hen you will have to use a microwave as they aren't the best but if you want your jacket potatoe for tea then it is superb.
