Synopsis
A silent witness is heard at last. It required 35 years of painstakingly diligent searching to uncover Victoria Adams, a key witness to the JFK assassination, and her story. Adams was on the staircase of the Texas School Book Depository at the precise moment that Lee Harvey Oswald, according to the Warren Commission, was making his escape-yet she saw no one. Badgered by the Commission and fearing for her life, Adams vanished into obscurity. At long last, her story has been brought to light and forces us to reconsider one of the most controversial assassinations of the 20th century., After thirty-five years of diligent searching, author Barry Ernest found Victoria Elizabeth Adams, a silent yet key witness in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Belittled by the Warren Commission, Adams vanished into obscurity-but what she saw may change all we thought we knew about the tragedy. This is the story about the journey to find the truth in the event that shaped our nation and the research that led the author to a dark opposition of history's official record. Adams worked on the fourth floor of the Texas School Book Depository and was on the back staircase of the building at the precise moment that Lee Harvey Oswald-according to the Warren Commission's account-was making his escape. However, Adams saw no one. Chronicled here is the author's search for Adams along with extensive research proving that Oswald was not on the sixth floor when Kennedy was shot. Also included in this narrative are the testimonies of Adams and other forgotten witnesses, which bring to light facts that force us to reconsider one of the most controversial and devastating assassinations of the twentieth century. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Barry Ernest is a former investigative journalist, press secretary, and speech writer. A graduate of Point Park University in Pittsburgh, he served as a features writer and investigative reporter for the York (PA) Sunday News and the Syracuse (NY) Herald-Journal. After his work in local news, Ernest was the press secretary and director of communications for the state of Pennsylvania. A frequent lecturer on the topic of the Kennedy assassination, Ernest earned the 2011 Mary Ferrell Pioneer Award, a national honor presented for a lifetime of searching for the truth. The author resides with his wife in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Mistakenly ordered a paperback that I thought was a hardcover, not sellers fault; it was described properly on the listing. Seller still processed a refund the day I went to return the item and let me keep the item anyway. A+++ service. Book arrived quickly in great condition and for a great price. Thank you so much! Amazing seller!

  • Search for truth.

The amount of patience and diligence the author showed in his research is amazing. I read this book cover to cover after I received it even though I had two other books going at the time. The mask on the JFK assassination is slowly coming off thanks to people like Barry Ernest and others who aren't afraid to search for truth. I do wish I could read Victoria Adams' version of what she actually thought happened on November 22, 1963.
