He doesn't like the ball radishes from supermarkets, so have told him that the ones you grow in the garden are totally different, not woody. My dad gave me radish seeds to sow when I was small, and it changed my mind, so different.

Seeds were of questionable quality though (I work for a professional grower of Alpines so have a reasonable idea on how to grow from seed). My suspicion is that the seeds are a bit old. Planted x10 in a propagator in a temperature controlled environment using jiffy pellets. Only x2 germinated..

I grew 2 large herb pots over 2 years then they both got knocked off the windowsill so had to start again but this was the same packet so it's a good brand, and my soups were delicious! Experimenting as I don't want to wait until feb. on my next seed purchase I will let you know if 2 months early was ok so stay tuned... Only 2 years to go... thanks again.
