seems to be a well stabalised peice of kit electronicaly. no problems with overcharging , delivery was 2 days late on orriginal estimate , but i was kept informed changing battery insert was a bit fidely but no probs once done. the canon batteries are held very securely and it comes with enough mains adapters to cover the western world. Yes it does seem expensive but in this case you get what you pay for
