    A great radio and better audio than the R250.

    I bought this radio second hand. I did have to clean it but it is now my best. I am listening to it now. The sound quality is very good. I bought it because its vsractor tuning and preset station selection covered a technology gap in my collection. However, it has proved s stylish and practical everyday radio. Buying these radios is a risk and you need to be technically savvy to fix the inevitable faults you come across but that is part of the fun. Sometimes you find it disappointing when their is nothing to fix. Faults and physical restoration is part of the reason for buying them. Cleaning this one and accepting the "patina" of age was all that was required in this case.

    Excellent Sound

    This is the third time I have bought one of these radios. (The others have each died after several years.) The sound is great. I find t useful for having in the bathroom - we have a radio in every room in the house. Hand to pick up and go outside in the garden and listen to the cricket in the summer.
