    The Americans Critique

    This is one of the best television series ever produced. FX is to be bested only once by USA. Everything I'd realistic and believable. Even vehicles landscaping, and music. Everything is set yo an era when that is how people actually thought. It hits home like a ton of bricks and is so very believable. Or almost makes me winder about some of my neighbors mow. 😉

    The Americans season 3 needs more

    Season 1 of The Americans was more action and violence. Each episode was more self contained. Season 2 became more character driven and the stories were more serialized. This season 3 really felt like they had decided to drag the story out. It felt more like a soap opera than a spy series I like soaps that move and tell a good story; Season 3 of the Americans did neither. I am on the fence about buying season 4 or just let the show end here.

    The Americans- Gritty realistic portrayals that are character driven and true to life.

    I really enjoy this series because it portrays a time when tensions between Russia and the USA were at an all time high during the Reagan era. It captures the political tensions during this time period perfectly and reflects the culture of the 1980's in perfect detail.. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are brilliant in their roles of KGB operatives trying to maintain their roles as the average American family while at the same time engaging in risky undercover operations which could out them or get them killed at any moment.
