a classic of 60's rock music.

for fans of the Moody Blues or even if not this CD is a classic of rock music from the late 60's. the band members each play a variety of instruments cementing the fact established in a previous album that they are the smallest orchestra in the world. fifes, flutes, violins, and harps blend with electric bass and guitars. and the organ played without the synthesizer that made the groups; Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and Yes famous. the album is one I enjoyed years ago in my teens and I am happy to be reacquainted with it again on CD. try it and enjoy pure instrumentation and catchy songs.

  • A grand follow on to Days Of Future Past

With the success of Days Of Future Past, the Moodys returned to the studio for their next album. They did not try to duplicate the success - or the formula - of that record. Instead, they forged ahead with a new 'theme' that wasn't always cohesive as a 'story'. Yet, it succeeds as a brilliant and consistent effort during their most creative period. Not content to merely hire people to play the instruments required, the band set about to learn these instruments themselves, keeping the creative juices flowing in the experience of learning something foreign and new. So what you hear is the band playing everything, keeping it 'in house', so to speak. You know you're in for a treat from the very first moment the music begins. And it delivers all the way through. Though some aspects may sound ...

  • In Search Of The Lost Chord

To my surprize, I really love this CD.It has been said that this album was the " most trippy' of all the Moodies music and I predetermined I wouldn't like the CD at all.I thought "Visions of Paradise" and "Om" were chillingly beautiful.Songs in the CD had great vocals/harmonies and I even loved hearing the sitar and all the different instruments played. The Moodies have a good sense of blending everything to make a fantastic sound. I would rate the CD somewhere at the top of my favorites list.

  • One of the Moody Blues Best Albums

Interesting early prog from the late sixties that epitomizes the period. This CD contains some of the Moody Blues classic tunes and brings back memories of a tumultuous time that still had a feeling of optimism about the future,
