I bought the original FF12 in 2006 for PS2 and had loads of fun on it. The gameplay, graphics and storyline were great in my opinion. Considering I had been an FF fan since childhood, 12 had surpassed them all. So naturally I was thrilled to find out that 12 was coming out again for PS4. Sure it was a great deal on a game, since I got in on a Black Friday deal. I guess I was expecting that somehow it may be different given the fact that it was called Zodiac Age. Maybe the storyline was remade or something, but so far it doesn't seem to be. Yes, you can easily tell the upgrade in graphics but so far that seems to be the only thing better thing about it. So my advice would be this: if you've never played FF12 before, then buy the game. It is definitely worth the experience and hours you'll spend playing it. If you've already played it for PS2, then don't be thrown off by the words Zodiac Age unless you're a proponent for the graphics. In retrospect I believe Square Enix should have just titled it Final Fantasy XII HD Remastered like they did with FFX.Read full review

The game arrived a day early and came in perfect condition. I wasn't so sure about the story and the characters but I really enjoyed the combat system and exploration. Some of the puzzles were a real pain in the you know where... The finale made me smile its one of the most fulfilling endings to a final fantasy game I've ever seen. All in all a decent game to add to your arsenal of games.

This is Final Fantasy in all of its innovative glory. The battle system they devised for this game broke away from the typical JRPG format and made all the battles live action. The gambit system is a masterpiece with great satisfaction when your team is perfectly balanced and provides a stern lesson when you're not. This game was la eap forward in 2006 and it has aged beautifully. The subtle refreshing of the color palates and smooth gloss of the newly renovated graphics are subtle but still noteworthy. But even with all its all over shine the one thing that Square Enix messed up on is the leveling system. Now you are only able to select 2 classes and only gain levels in their respective classes. Gone are the days of have a Black Mage wearing heavy armor equipped with a gun. It takes all this away and you will run out of licenses to spend your license points on. Now, I am almost finished with the game but there is still easily 20 hours left with all the side quests and hunts but now my license points just accumulate and there is nothing else to spend them on. It is a big flaw and one that is felt in the higher recesses of the game but I have still enjoyed this game from sun up to sun down.Read full review
