Oxford Diecast 76SET70 1/76 Scale Ford Escort Mk I /Mk II /XR3i Three-Set OO Gauge Compatible Models
Oxford Diecast recently released 76SET70 in 1/76 Scale which represents the Ford Escort Mk I /Mk II /XR3i in a three-set. These are fully OO Gauge compatible models which are otherwise aimed at the Adult / Discerning Collectors' market. I have as it happens just reviewed sister-set 76SET69 which complements these beautifully being the Ford Capri Mk I / Mk II / Mk III three-set released the following month in the same scale. These are the Ford Escort Mk I from 1968 in green along with the 1974 Ford Escort Mk II which is in red. Finally there's the Ford Escort Mk III or in this case XR3i from 1988-1990 time in black: All of these are three-door models as many of the Ford Escorts were in real life. I have to say that an 'RS4000' would have been nice in terms of the Ford Escort Mk II offering ... Oxford Diecast recently released 76SET70 in 1/76 Scale which represents the Ford Escort Mk I /Mk II /XR3i in a three-set. These are fully OO Gauge compatible models which are otherwise aimed at the Adult / Discerning Collectors' market. For all three to be displayed on a OO Gauge model railway layout you are looking at settings of the 1980s-1990s to just about catch all three of these in use as normal vehicles. Or a 'Bangers and Cash' TV Show set-up like Williamsons where the 'Ford Escort Bonanza Auction' or a Heritage Motor show on a more modern layout could capture the creativity and imagination of modellers. So where competitively priced at under GBP £20.00 this receives a full set of Honours / Marks from myself but I wouldn't recommend paying over £24.00 for this set at the time of writing :o)
