    Good book; needs more content.

    I was expecting a little bit more detail in theory of operation. Not bad at all as a primer. No where near the kind of detail that is contained in the Motorbooks International publications. The one detail that was totally lacking is throttle cable adjustment. Throughout the book, proper adjustment is stressed, but no where does it describe how to perform the adjustment. Yes, a lot of this detail can be found in other reference books such as the factory service manuals (if you can still find them for your application). The disasembly/assembly sections are detailed enough, though. Overall it's a good book.

    GM Automatic Overdrive Transmission Builder's Guide

    This is a decent book with lots of color photographs of the transmission. It is lacking in the valve body area for valve and spring pictures. There are a few gross errors that should have been caught. I could have been longer as there is a bunch of touched on information, but lacks a feel of completeness. I bought a few copies to give to friends that have an interest in that transmission. I know I am going to be getting some phone calls and answering some questions. It looks like a project that the author was a bit desperate to get done. My two cents.

    Great book look brand new,good price really enjoyed it.

    I bought this book to rebuild transmission in my 1984 corvette.Although book had great pictures and more than enough imformation,after 6hr.s removing transmission,which book showed how to I decided to take to a pofisional,if nothing else book help me make up my mind.
