Seller notes: “Over a century old, but has been recently professionally cleaned and starched, and is still in good ... “Over a century old, but has been recently professionally cleaned and starched, and is still in good condition, except for the alterations. The front panels are in excellent condition, with no stains and just a few scuff marks and tiny pinhead-sized rust spots from where the waistcoat has been stored in its pins. It has clearly been altered several times, by the insertion of panels of (non-matching) white fabric at the sides and down the centre of the back. This will obviously not show when you are wearing a jacket. Laundry marks from several previous owners inside.”
