I like that it is a simple pedal, with just one knob that operated speed control. It has a very lush chorus sound that blends into the signal and doesnt distort it too much. It does boost the gain a little, but it isnt really noticeable while playing. Switching is very silent. Pedal looks cool, and is built tough. Again, the sound is very lush and usable, and the speed knob has a nice range to it as well. I would recommend this, and not just becuse it is an inexpensive option, but because it really does sound good.
MXR is now under the care of Dunlop...and they helped revised some of the best loved MXR pedals from the past. Like this MXR Chorus. In the past it wasn't true by pass, didn't have a led light or a 9V adapter power output. But it still had one thing going for it...great sounds with just one knob. And setting it's knob anywhere gave you a great musical chorus, fast slow` and everything in between. Well the reissue has all the new features that I mentioned that it didn't once have. And the reissue version still has that great classic analog tone. This is still the best inexpensive quality durable chorus pedal you can get. It can stand up to most other chorus pedals demanding much more money...You may find some with more knobs and tweaks...but hey why bother? I like the one knob effect. You can put the rubber boot cover on it and use your foot to work the speed...great for on the fly changes. I have other chorus pedals but this is the one that goes to all my gigs for it's sheer simplicity. You can't go wrong with this one. And at second hand prices it's a steal. I recommend it. P.S. I still have my classic version...and it still works fine.Read full review
Great deal! It's a great chorus with good sound and simple / fast to operate. Build like a tank. I chose this chorus because its easy to use. I kinda find faster to adjust one parameter during live performance with those "cyclope style" pedals (hence the one knob). It sounds pretty descent for its money and its a good solution for pedal lovers (even for professionals). The range of the chorusing effect is not that large, but will do for most cases. Rock on m/
I know that you can buy more complex chorus pedals. Furthermore you can spend hundreds for boutique pedals that are truly great. However I am giving the M148 5 out of 5 because it offers quality build, clean sound, true bypass, all for a price tag that is easy on the wallet. I have no regrets and would recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a simple but great chorus pedal.
It's Exactly what I Wanted In A Chorus pedal it does the right amount of depth no need for tweakin with knobs with just one knob,Love It..
