A decent, helpful book for mechanically minded people whom wish to service their own vehicles. A tad disjointed in it's sections for my own taste. However most of the information required will be there if one looks hard enough.

By comparison to earlier Haynes manual's, e.g., one I have on the Citroen BX 1.9D, this more recent manual is very poor indeed, for example: 1: Much smaller and very poor quality pictures and diagrams. 2: Too wordy (verbose and prolix), thus lots of writing that says little, fails to get to the point, and is thus less than informative. 3: Less comprehensive coverage of the model. It seems to me that the producer's/publisher's have, over the years, 'lost the plot' and I suspect are more interested in cost cutting rather than producing a useful product (maybe some 'bright spark' (John S. Mead?) in the organisation sees cheap and nasty as being more attractive as a 'get rich quick' profiteering process. My recommendation would be not to buy Haynes manuals as, whilst they may look good on a book-shelf, their practial use is now rather limited. Go for a proper workshop manual instead, such may be more expensive, but at least it wouldn't be money simply 'thrown away' (on a 'rubbish' Haynes manual).Read full review
