The legs don't seem to lock in place exactly but there is a stop to catch them when they are fully opened/angled out. The quick release plate is a nice feature. I found the knobs controlling the camera platform's angle confusing but it works fine if I loosen/tighten them all at once so it doesn't matter too much what they do individually. Seems like it will work well enough for me.

The USPS also provided wrong tracking information, saying the package was picked up in a nearby town. That caused a lot of anxiety and led me to believe this is some kind of fraud.
