Product Information

The British adventure series TRAVELLING MAN starred Leigh Lawson as Lomax, a drug cop who was railroaded into prison on a trumped-up bribery charge. Released after serving two years, Lomax swore to track down the man responsible for framing him, and also to locate his own son, who had fallen victim to drug peddlers. To this end, Lomax travelled along the many British canals in a battered narrowboat, solving the problems of various guest stars at sundry ports of call, a la THE FUGITIVE.

    All aboard for travelling man

    I remember watching this series when it was originally broadcast in 1984 and 1985.written by roger Marshall who was involved in other great series in the seventies and eighties it was very enjoyable .The series has lost none of its appeal in the intervening 34 years ,it is even better now when compared to most of the dross shown on British telly Today .if you yearn for quality then buy this and enjoy .

    Adventures on and off the canal

    I didn't see this series when it was first broadcast, but I am enjoying it as I can find little that I personally wish to watch on mainstream TV at present. The characters and settings are good, with a few cliches admittedly, and the overall drama and atmosphere is engrossing. I enjoy seeing the vehicles and er, fashions of the time it was made too.

    Takes you back

    I remember watching this i the 80s and its aged a lot better than most of us. In the age of sat nav and smart phones the idea of trying to "get away" and loose yourself is perhaps even more appealing to some of us. some review have mentioned the soiund quality. I have watched all of the first wo discs so far and no complaints.
