A good collection of 3 films to watch
Man on Fire is a superb thriller. It tells the story of an ex-CIA agent, who is now an alcoholic, given the job of being a body guard for a school girl. His bond with her gets him off the drink, but then she is kidnapped, and he is wounded in the subsequent shoot out, killing two of them involved. He then sets about killing everyone who ever had anything to do with her being snatched, until he gets her back. A strangely touching film, especially when you realise it is based on a true story. . The Transporter was Jason Stathams first film after his move to Hollywood, and he hit the big time. He is a master of martial arts in true life, so is perfect as the tough guy. The story is a good all action chase film. . The Siege is a tense thriller. It revolves around the battle between the Army, ... Man on Fire is a superb thriller. Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included.
