Modern day comedy/series
Imagine 4 single ladies Living in New York in the modern day, each with there own quirky personality, and taste of men. Experiancing the ups and downs,of the indepenant womens battles and giggles while there always there for each other to support each other and laugh off there experiences. Its covers a lot of problems that are experienced by the modern day lady, and is very laughable. if you like friends you'll love sex and city! I decided to buy the box set as I had watched bits of it on television and liked what I saw. I had caught bits of the movie on sky and have recently brought that from eBay and was then immediately curious as to how it all started so I thought id start at the beginning with series 1. Sex and the City - series 1
I love this series and will still be watching it when I'm and old lady! I didn't watch sex and the city when it first hit the screens in the late 90's but got into it later. Some of my friends find the language too rude and the sex scenes too graphic but its about more than that - its a meander through six years in the lives of 4 acomplished, fashionable, high achieving friends. It was very ground breaking at the time and made us all aware of "manolo's". I have bought all of the six series off e-bay and it was great because they were so cheap - to buy them new from a shop would have cost a fortune.I love this series and will still be watching it when I'm and old lady! When I first watched these 12 episodes I couldn't get used to how different the characters appeared. Carrie had litle of her quirky fashion sense, Miranda is very manish, Charlotte is a plain jane and Samantha looks much older. Although the epsiodes are good, very funny and entertaining, it's not classic Sex and the City. If you want to see how it all began, of course you need to purchase this box set, but otherswise I'd simply start my collection from season two onwards.When I first watched these 12 episodes I couldn't get used to how different the characters appeared.
