    Bargain amp

    These are old amps so I guess it might be pot luck whether you get a good second hand example. I bought one alongside a cheap but new Chinese made amp around the same price to compare. The Chinese amp did a remarkably good job for its size and price but when I powered up the denon there was an immediate difference. I’m no audiophile so won’t try to detail what that difference is but the listening experience is warmer and cleaner somehow.

    Incredible value for money. Solid build, great sound and "feels" like an expensive unit with great facilities and plenty of inputs. Very smart in appearance too. Typical Denon quality. Highly recommended.

    A stunning upgrade

    Sound is beautiful, detailed, precise and sumptuously rich but packs a punch. This is an upgrade from a faithful Yamaha a 420 amp which I retired after 31 years. A stunning successor.

    Nice amp clear sound

    Love the simplicity of this amp, the clear sound and the quality. Absolutely value of money. Connected to two tangent avant-garde 200 speakers and use this system for watching movies. The sound is great and the floor rumbles from the rich base. Also dab radio played through the amp sounds amazing too.
