HMS Hood - Nice kit of Pan
I nice kit from Trumpeter in 1/350 scale. A great build for those who are not bothered about the inaccuracies with the kit. However there are aftermarket details you can buy to enhance these. Extra photo etched will most definitely add to the build. The main armaments in the kit are inaccurate but again there are after aftermarket turrets and main guns you can easily replace these with. Same with the funnels. Wooden deck also adds to the effect. Again this a personal choice of the builder. I used Colourcoats paints from Sovereign Hobbies which are the most accurate and correct availableI nice kit from Trumpeter in 1/350 scale. Appropriate size
What works best about this kit is its scale 1/350. Ordinarily with a ship I would buy a tamiya kit but they don't make the hood in this scale, only 1/700 waterline model. Tamiya do make the bismarck in 1/350 scale and to compliment this the hood needs to be in the same scale.
