Initial set up takes a bit of effort, so read that section of instructions before plugging in. Good tone and volume on radio. Dab ensures good signal and no crackling. Alarm increases in volume. Auto dimming display aids sleeping. Dual alarm and snooze features for flexibility.

This radio is almost very good! However, it is not intuitive whatsoever. I pride myself on being able to operate most things with a 'menu' button, but this little radio definitely needs you to refer to the manual. It has one major gripe, and that is the 'auto dimming' feature. At night, it dims that much that's it's virtually impossible to read. There should be a menu option to switch this feature off, but there isn't. It is very clear in daylight, but for a 'bedside' clock, this is a deal breaker! Also, you need to be very light handed with the buttons - the radio weighs next to nothing so any firm button pressing will send the darn thing flying! I was initially very happy with this, size was small and neat and sound quality of radio and reception also good. But the problem started with clock in low light which automatically dims. There is no function to address this, so it was impossible to read time when I needed to! The company were helpful and I returned it, but of course had to pay for return. compact and all you want from a clock radio
good sound quality for a radio of this size, easy to set up, presets are enough to cover most favourites, easy sleep mode operation, very good reception on dab, that is all I use, tremendous value, I paid £19 4 stars because I would have prefered preset buttons to a scanning dial.
