Chromolithographic title page. Both hinges are lightly cracked casuing boards to be slightly loose. Binding is somewhat shaky. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed with some light staining to front free end paper. Boards have some notable wear with splits to spine edges, crushing to spine ends and bumping to corners casuing some fraying. Gilt remains bright.”

Books are as described. Even with the blemishes to the spine and missing volume the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which was not listed as part of this set, I am happy with my purchase and consider it still a bargain price for these Folio Society editions. The collection was exceptionally and carefully well packed. My only "complaint" is with the shipping costs, but the parcel was heavy and Royal Mail is the only option from the UK to the US. Still, I'm quite happy to have these. Much thanks!

Perfect books as described and excellently packaged. Too bad for the customs duties that I had to pay in addition and for the "innocent writing" of the seller on the first book indicating "£230 for the full serie"... I paid £300 + £50 shipping and customs duties :-(
